Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Newman

Hello! My name is Newman! I’m the new man here at the farm, get it? Anyway…

I came to Blue Chip after being rescued in Puerto Rico! It was always so warm and sunny there, and now it’s all snowy and cold. What the heck?

I am a goofy boy with lots of love. I am only 2-3 years old and I love to play!

So come and meet me, today, if you can! I am so ready to have a home!

Smokey

Smokey is 9 weeks old, current on his vaccinations, and ready for a home to call his own.

Smokey is very sweet, a little shy, and a total cuddle bug!

If you would like to adopt this handsome guy, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
