Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Rojo

Rojo is a 3-year-old husky/cattle dog mix who is neutered and up-to-date on his shots.

He is wonderful and so loving when he is around his people. We would like to find him a home with no kids and a yard. He loves to walk, run, and go to the park.

Come meet this handsome boy!

Mason

Mason is a 1-year-old orange and white domestic longhair – his hair was matted when he was found, so he needed a good shave! He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots and feline testing.

Mason is a wonderful young cat who was a stray. He still has some feral instincts, so he does not like to be picked up, yet he does like to be talked to or included in a conversation. He’s very sweet and will headbutt you for attention or paw you if you stop petting him. He would do best in a quiet home with no dogs and older kids.

If you’re interested in adopting Mason, visit bcfanimalrefuge.org to fill out an application.
