Wilco, Conor Oberst, and Hop Along play XPoNential Music Festival in Camden on July 28

WXPN 88.5 FM, the non-commercial, member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, has again teamed with promoter Live Nation to present performances at the BB&T Pavilion on the Camden, New Jersey waterfront as part of WXPN’s annual XPoNential Music Festival, presented by Subaru. Performing on Friday, July 28 at the BB&T Pavilion will be Wilco, Conor Oberst, and Hop Along.
The 2017 XPoNential Music Festival will take place Friday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30 at BB&T Pavilion (1 Harbour Blvd., Camden, NJ) and the adjacent Wiggins Park. Reserved and lawn tickets for the July 28 concert will go on sale to the general public this Friday, Feb. 24 at noon through the BB&T Pavilion box office, ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, and by phone at 800-745-3000. The complete lineup of artists performing at the festival will be announced next month when 3-Day Go Everywhere Passes go on sale.
Wilco, always popular with XPN and Philly-area audiences, previously performed at the 2012 and 2013 XPoNential Music Festivals, and Philadelphia-based Hop Along played the festival in 2015. Conor Oberst will be performing at XPoNential for the first time.
The XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru is WXPN’s signature annual concert event that draws audiences from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, Mid-Atlantic region, and Northeastern U.S. Now in its 13th year at Wiggins Park and sixth year at the adjacent BB&T Pavilion, WXPN produces the XPoNential Music Festival in partnership with the Camden County Board of Freeholders.

The BB&T Pavilion is the premier outdoor venue in the Philadelphia metro area to catch the summer’s hottest touring acts. It opened in 1995 and has changed names several times, from the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Center to the Tweeter Center in 2001, to the Susquehanna Bank Center in 2008, and to the BB&T Pavilion in 2015. The facility can be used year-round with capabilities of seating 25,000 in the summer and closing off to a 7,000-seat venue in fall and winter. Some of the most popular tickets for the venue have included Radiohead, The Who, Pearl Jam, Jimmy Buffett, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews Band, and Phish.
