From a press release:

Chambersburg progressive bluegrass band Mountain Ride will play at Harmony Presents in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill on Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m.

“Mountain Ride was forged in the Great Valley of South Central Pennsylvania, for the simple need to play bluegrass. For these five friends, bluegrass is a necessity. This band poignantly delivers genuine sound with a message of integrity. It’s not trying to emulate anything. It’s honest to the core and the expression is authentic,” says Jill Carletti, managing director of Harmony Presents.

“Hailing from the new generation of bluegrassers, they tend to bring a unique flair to the traditional and a progressive twist to the original. Mountain Ride is composed of Eric Avey (guitar and vocals), Scott Matlock (fiddle and vocals), Corey Woodcock (banjo), Chance Hurley (mandolin), and Kate Avey (bass and vocals). With years of experience under their straps and strings, they have found something new, something that can only be described as Mountain Ride.”

Harmony Presents concerts take place in the historic Boiler Room of the Hawley Silk Mill (8 Silk Mill Drive, Hawley), the world’s largest laid bluestone building, and shows start at 8 p.m. and end around 10 p.m. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating.

Tickets are available for the advance price of $19 up until midnight before the show. After this, tickets are available for $22 until they’re sold out. They can be purchased online at harmonypresents.com or in person at AMSkier Insurance (209 Main Ave., Hawley) during regular business hours and on Saturdays between 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Seating is set up cabaret style with small, candle-lit tables, and admission is general. Purchasing tickets in advance secures a seat at the show.
