SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Dexter (puggle) and Mia (Maine Coon mix)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Dexter here! I am a 6-year-old pug and beagle mix!
I was originally at Blue Chip a few months ago, so you might remember me. Unfortunately, my home did not work out, so here I am, looking for a new home and family to love me!
I am a chunky little puggle, so my new family will hopefully be active and help me lose a few pounds. I love all people, I really do! I like most other dogs, too, so bring your furry family members up to meet me!
Mia is a beautiful 1-year-old Maine Coon mix who is spayed and current on her vaccinations.
Mia is full of personality! She is sweet, a little sassy, and knows she’s pretty. She would prefer your attention all to herself. She is not a fan of other furry friends, so she would do best as the only pet.
