SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Ellie (Boston terrier/pit bull mix) and Olivia (tortoiseshell cat)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Ellie is a 6-year-old Boston terrier/pit bull mix.
This itty bitty pitty is great with cats and needs to meet new dogs properly. She seems to do better with women, but with a proper introduction, she is great with all people.
She is goofy and fun to be around – just look at her playing in the snow. Come and meet Ellie Belly!
Olivia is a 2-year-old tortie who is spayed and up-to-date on shots. She has semi-long hair that needs frequent grooming. She is absolutely gorgeous, but you don’t have to tell her – she knows it!
She has plenty of “tortitude,” so she will require a home where she will be the only pet. She is saucy but friendly.
It may seem Olivia has a split personality as she goes from purring away in your lap to suddenly racing around the house like a crazy kitten, but why would you want her any other way?
