Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Rojo

Rojo is a 3-year-old husky/cattle dog mix who is neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He was found as a stray.

He is wonderful and so loving when he is around his people. He should be in a home with a yard and no children, and he gets along with most other pups.

Rojo loves to walk, run, and go to the park. He is a ball of energy and enjoys being outside.

Come meet this handsome boy!

River

River is a sweet 2-year-old striped tabby cat.

This little guy, who is front declawed, will give you headbutts because he loves attention.

If you would like to adopt River, please note that he is in a foster home, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
