Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Primo

Primo is a 9-year-old old Shiba Inu who was unbelievably neglected. This poor boy could not even lift his head up a few months ago. He would cry in pain, could barely walk, and had a horrific yeast infection all over his body. He has since completely recovered from his skin condition and has a healthy, soft coat.

Now, this feisty pup is loving life! Primo is healing extremely well and has the best personality. He is a spunky boy and loves all people. He is playful, particularly fond of tennis balls, loves walks, and just being a normal, healthy dog.

Primo is not a fan of other dogs and would do well as the only pet in the home. He does not mind kids as long as they are a little older and well-behaved.

Let’s find the loving furever home that this guy deserves!

Murriah

Murriah is a 6-year-old blue point Siamese cat.

This stunning beauty is looking for a home to call her own. Murriah is very sweet and loving, but she does not like to share her attention with other pets. Murriah would need to be the one and only.

If interested in adopting this pretty girl, visit bcfanimalrefuge.org and fill out an application.
