Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Chopper

Chopper is a 3-year-old German shepherd mix.

He is a ball of energy but very timid at first. After a walk and a trip to the park, though, he will be your best friend!

Chopper needs a family willing to come and meet him a few times before taking him home. Once the bond is there, it will never be broken. He gets along with other dogs and would do best in a home with no children.

Come and meet this goofy boy!

Sage

Sage is just the sweetest little guy. He is 10 weeks old and loves to explore.

Climbing and finding new places is his favorite thing to do, but this friendly kitten always loves a reassuring hug from his favorite humans.

If you would like to adopt this intrepid explorer, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
