Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Ellie

Ellie is a 6-year-old Boston terrier/pit bull mix.

This itty bitty pitty has been at Blue Chip for quite some time despite how wonderful she is. She is great with cats and most other pups, and she loves to go for walks, runs, play fetch, eat treats, and cuddle.

Ellie needs an adult-only home that will help boost her confidence. She needs to be properly introduced to new people, especially men.

She is goofy and fun to be around. Come and meet Ellie Belly!

Tipper

Tipper is a 12-week-old orange tabby who is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

This sweet little guy is playful and loves to tease. He loves attention and his feathered toys.

Tipper is very social and loves people.

If you would like to adopt this cute character, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
