Stand-up comedian and radio host Jim Norton will bring his Kneeling Room Only Tour to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Friday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
Tickets, which are $32.50, go on sale this Friday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
49-year-old James Norton Jr. is a comedian, radio personality, New York Times bestselling author, and actor. He is best known as the former co-host of the “Opie and Anthony” radio show with Gregg “Opie” Hughes and Anthony Cumia from 2001-2014. He is the co-host of “Jim Norton and Sam Roberts” on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, which launched in 2016.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Norton began his stand-up comedy career in April 1990 and spent several years developing his act. After appearing on “The Louie Show” in 1997, he was spotted by comedian Andrew Dice Clay, who chose to tour with him for the next three years.
In 2000, Norton made his debut on “Opie and Anthony” and joined the show as a co-host in 2001, which increased his national exposure. He went on to star in the sitcom “Lucky Louie” and had cameos in feature films, including “Spider-Man” and “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.” Since he joined SiriusXM with “Opie and Anthony” in 2004, he hosted “Opie with Jim Norton” from 2014-2016 and “The Jim Norton Advice Show.”
Starting in 2004, he has produced various stand-up specials, including “Monster Rain” in 2007, “Please Be Offended” in 2012, “American Degenerate” in 2013, and his most recent Netflix special, “A Mouthful of Shame,” in March. In 2014, Norton hosted “The Jim Norton Show,” a talk show on VICE. He has also written two books: “Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch” and “I Hate Your Guts.”
