Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye is a 10-month-old boxer mix who is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

He originally came from a kill shelter in the Carolinas, so his past is unclear. He is good with other dogs but nervous around young children. He needs a patient family, preferably with older or no kids, that will work on his socialization skills and confidence.

Hawkeye is sweet and loves to be around his people, go for walks, and play in the park. He gets mouthy when he’s excited around other dogs, but it’s all play with no aggression.

Come over and meet this handsome boy!

Broadway

Broadway is 12 weeks old and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

This little showstopper is full of personality. He is friendly, very social, and playful. He also likes to curl up and take a nap… wherever he gets comfortable.

Broadway is sweet, adorable, and fun-loving. If you would like to adopt him, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
