Shop Pop-up for a Cause at Midtown Village in Wilkes-Barre on Nov. 30 benefits special needs children
From a press release:
On Thursday, Nov. 30, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will present its first Shop Pop-up for a Cause at Midtown Village in Wilkes-Barre from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sponsored by Vision Imaging of Kingston, this event will feature a holiday marketplace with unique holiday gifts, live carolers and entertainment, a silent auction, raffles, wine tasting, and an on-site fashion show with this season’s hottest trends. The fashion show will be produced by The Dress Lounge Bridal & Prom Boutique and Buka. Santa may also make an appearance. Attendees will also get access to dining deals throughout the downtown on the night of the event.
A $5 donation at the door, as well as additional proceeds, will benefit local nonprofit Brighter Journeys, an organization aimed at helping children with special needs in Luzerne County.
The shopping vendors include the Sisters in Sales, Dress for Success Luzerne County, Sugar Plum Chocolates, as well as the Midtown Village Holiday Pop-up Shops vendors, who will occupy this space in Midtown Village (41 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre) every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from Nov. 25 through Dec. 16. The pop-up shops are the result of a partnership with the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber, the Diamond City Partnership, and the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association.
