Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Bella

Bella is a 10-month-old German shepherd mix who needs a family to love forever.

For being a shepherd mix, she is on the small side and probably won’t grow much more.

Bella loves all other dogs, cats, and kids; she really just loves everyone and everything. She’s a big cuddler – just ask the volunteers! She enjoys going for walks but would much rather just sit on the couch and cuddle.

Come and meet this sweet girl!

Joy

Put a little Joy in your life with this beautiful domestic gray and white long hair cat.

A true rescue cat who was found locked in a trunk, Joy was frightened and had given up on humans when she arrived at Blue Chip. After helping her to overcome that trauma, she is ready for a new home.

Joy is about 2 years old, spayed, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She likes to be talked to and is a very good listener.

If you would like to adopt this pretty kitty, please fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org.
