From a press release:

It was announced today that Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Steely Dan will perform at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.

This show is part of the band’s first tour without co-founder Walter Becker; the guitarist died of cancer last year.

Tickets, which are $69.50, $89.50, and $129.50, plus applicable fees, go on sale this Friday, March 30 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000. A pre-sale for members of the venue’s Music Insiders Club will take place on Thursday, March 29 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Founded in 1972, Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the 1970s with hits such as “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “F.M.,” “Peg,” “Hey Nineteen,” “Deacon Blues,” and “Babylon Sisters” from their seven platinum albums issued between 1972 and 1980, including 1977’s sold-out tours (that continue through today).

In 2000, they released the multi-Grammy-winning (including “Album of the Year”) “Two Against Nature” and followed it up with the acclaimed “Everything Must Go” in 2003. Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

In recent years, Steely Dan has concentrated on live appearances, offering evenings that featured performances of entire albums. “Countdown to Ecstasy,” “The Royal Scam,” “Aja,” and “Gaucho” were each performed live, often at the band’s annual appearances at the Beacon Theater in New York, always fan favorites. Loyal to their roots in jazz, they made it a point to present major jazz artists as openers. Featured players have included Jimmy Cobb, Bill Charlap, Chris Potter, Sam Yahel, Julian Lage, Joey DeFrancesco, Joe Lovano, Peter Bernstein, Mike LeDonne, Bobby Broom, and the Deep Blue Organ Trio. Recent partners on major tours have included Steve Winwood, Elvis Costello and the Imposters, the Eagles, and the Doobie Brothers. In 2016, vocalist Donald Fagen toured with a quintet of terrific young musicians as Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers.
