Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Emma

Emma is a 10-month-old Puerto Rican sato who came to Blue Chip from Puerto Rico with her sister looking for a better life after being rescued from the island.

She is timid but loving. She is more outgoing then her sister and good with other dogs. We believe Emma would be good with children once she comes out of her shell, but not with cats.

Come and meet this sweet little traveler and give her the forever home she’s looking for!

Evelyn

Evelyn is an 11-month-old white/lilac point tabby cat who is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations and testing.

She loves to play and pounce on her toys. She also has a fondness for finding sunny spots to lie in and nap.

If you are interested in adopting Evelyn, please note that she is currently living in a foster home, so fill out an adoption form on bcfanimalrefuge.org and call 570-333-5265 to arrange a meet and greet.
