Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Stripe

Stripe is a sweet and scared 7-month-old Puerto Rican sato who needs a loving family to come and get her!

She and her siblings were rescued in time to be safe for Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. They were treated for sarcoptic mange, which required a daily soak for four weeks. After the hurricane, their rescue did not have power or water for over two months, but they were able to use a small generator and haul water for the animals. Now that these dogs are 100 percent healthy, they need forever homes!

This beautiful little tiger needs someone who will help her show her true colors. Stripe is still very nervous at the shelter and of new people but, over time, she does warm up.

She loves to play with squeaky toys and chew on bones. She needs a home with older children due to her fearfulness. She does very well with other dogs and would likely do well in a home with another furry friend.

Come and meet Miss Stripe!

Noodles

Silly, loving, and available, Noodles is a 2-year-old dilute calico who is clearly the “total package.”

She is affectionate, curious, and full of personality. Noodles loves to play with bouncy toys and get all wound up, and she adores being with people and watching them clean… not helping, of course.

This sassy little girl is in need of people with something new to observe, so if you think Noodles would enjoy being your cat, fill out an adoption application at bcfanimalrefuge.org. Please note that she is in a foster home, not at the shelter, so call 570-333-5265 to arrange a meet and greet.
