Hailed as the “biggest new rock act in the world” by Rolling Stone, 5 Seconds of Summer is the only band in history to see its first two full-length studio albums enter the Billboard 200 at No. 1.
5SOS have sold over six million albums. Their self-titled debut album has sold more than 2.2 million units worldwide, with 1.5 million albums and more than 1.8 billion worldwide track streams. In 2016, the band played 101 sold-out arena shows around the world.
2015’s “Sounds Good Feels Good” charted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, being the first Australian band in history to be simultaneously No. 1 in those three countries. “She’s Kinda Hot,” the album’s first single, topped the iTunes charts in 44 countries.
After a year promoting the record and playing their sold-out arena shows in 2016, 5SOS spent the last year living, writing, and recording in Los Angeles. In February, the band released a new single, “Want You Back,” and a full-length album called “Youngblood” will follow on June 22 on Capitol Records. Building a loyal and passionate fan base playing shows around the world, 5SOS has decided to take new music directly to its fans on their current tour, which kicked off in March.
5SOS – comprised of Luke Hemmings (vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (vocals/guitar), Calum Hood (vocals/bass), and Ashton Irwin (vocals/drums) – has won an American Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, an iHeartRadio Music Award, five MTV European Music Awards, two ARIA Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award.
The Lehigh County Agricultural Society is the nonprofit owner and operator of the Allentown Fairgrounds and The Great Allentown Fair. The annual operation of The Great Allentown Fair for more than a century and a half is testament to the viability and durability of the society’s mission, conceived in 1852. The 21st century version of the fair is steeped in the tradition of its rich agricultural roots while highly emphasizing education for the non-agrarian public. Its diverse entertainment offerings attract attendees of all ages and tastes.
The activities that occur on the Allentown Fairgrounds year-round support the mission and perpetuation of the fair. The trade shows, restaurants, and the famous Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market combine to make the 46-acre fairgrounds, located in the city’s beautiful west-end, a hub for enjoyment, commerce, and tourism.
