From a press release:

After they both performed in Wilkes-Barre recently about a month apart, chart-topping pop punk band All Time Low and iconic emo rockers Dashboard Confessional will play together at Musikfest on the Sands Steel Stage in Bethlehem on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for this concert at PNC Plaza (645 E. 1st St., Bethlehem) at the SteelStacks, which are $39.50, go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at musikfest.org and 610-332-3378. Tickets are on sale now for ArtsQuest Members. The configuration for this show includes a standing room only pit at the base of the Sands Steel Stage, offering a variety of options for fans.

Fresh off their seventh full-length album “Last Young Renegade” and hit single “Dirty Laundry,” the platinum-certified quartet All Time Low features Alex Gaskarth on lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Jack Barakat (lead guitar); Zack Merrick (bass guitar); and Rian Dawson (drums). Over the last 15 years, the band has earned four Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200. Their catalog of anthems includes the platinum-selling “Dear Maria, Count Me In” and gold-certified “Weightless” and “A Love Like War (feat. Vic Fuentes),” the latter of which received Song of the Year at the 2014 Alternative Press Music Awards.

To date, they’ve garnered five Alternative Press Music Awards, five Kerrang! Awards, and been crowned Best Pop Punk Band at the Top in Rock Awards. Along the way, they’ve appeared in Rolling Stone and Billboard and graced the covers of Alternative Press and Kerrang! multiple times in addition to performing on “The Tonight Show,” “Conan,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Known for unforgettable shows around the globe, they’ve also ignited stages everywhere from Voodoo Music Experience to Warped Tour.

Best known for the hit singles “Vindicated,” “Hands Down,” and “Screaming Infidelities,” indie rock band Dashboard Confessional, led by singer/songwriter Chris Carrabba, brought the sound of emo music to mainstream audiences in the early 2000s. Now, nearly 10 years after releasing “Alter the Ending,” the band has returned to the studio for its seventh album, “Crooked Shadows,” released earlier this year. The opening track “We Fight” showcases the band’s dynamic force and surging energy that resonates in songs threaded together by the idea that it’s essential to balance hope with anger, while the album itself reflects back on everything Dashboard Confessional has achieved in the past two decades.

The All Time Low and Dashboard Confessional performance is supported by media partner Spin Radio. Other 2018 Sands Steel Stage headliners announced so far include Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown Tour on Musikfest Preview Night on Aug. 2, Styx and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on Aug. 3, comedian Jim Gaffigan on Aug. 5, Kesha on Aug. 7, Brantley Gilbert on Aug. 10, and Jason Mraz on Aug. 12.

One of the largest music festivals in the nation, Musikfest features more than 500 performances on 16 stages throughout Bethlehem over 10 days. Proceeds from Musikfest 2018 support ArtsQuest’s free programming for the community year-round at the Banana Factory arts center and the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus. Dates for the 35th edition of the festival are Friday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 12.
