Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Alvin

Alvin is an 11-year-old beagle with lots of love to give.

He is a love bug who enjoys being around people and going for walks.

Alvin needs a home with no other animals in it. He would do well with older children, due to his age.

This older guy is still waiting for the perfect family to scoop him up, so come and meet Alvin soon!

Hank

Hank is 5 years old and likes to be the center of attention.

This handsome guy is a little set in his ways, so he will come to you on his own terms. He is sweet and mischievous – he loves to give head bumps and love bites!

Hank gets along with other cats but does not like dogs. He would do best with older children.

If you’d like to adopt Hank, please fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org.
