Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Brownie

Brownie is a 10-year-old hound mix. Surrendered by his owner, he has spent his entire life chained outdoors and deserves a loving home with a warm bed that will make him feel like a king.

This handsome lad has a sweet disposition and gets along with other dogs, children, and maybe cats, as he does not seem to mind them.

Brownie is not only young at heart, but he is also athletic; he loves going for runs and being surrounded by Blue Chip volunteers. He is just full of personality and love.

He needs a happy ending with a good family to live out his golden years with. If that sounds like your family, fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org and come meet this love bug!

Sunshine

Sunshine is an 8-year-old calico cat who is ready for her forever home.

She would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a lap cat. She would do best in a quiet home.

If you need some Sunshine in your life, fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org and call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
