SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Allie (Rhodesian ridgeback mix) and Romeo (Maine Coon mix)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Allie is a 4-year-old Rhodesian ridgeback mix.
This pretty gal is a smaller lady, weighing around 40 pounds.
She is as sweet as can be, loving everyone she meets. She’s also very smart and knows commands like sit, stay, and “give paw.”
Allie needs a home with a cat or another dog (or both!) due to her separation anxiety. When left home alone, her anxiety will overcome her. When left with another animal, she is as content as can be.
Someone adopt this adorable girl!
O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Romeo is a 2-year-old Maine Coon mix who is not in the market for a Juliet – he just wants a home… and a happy ending!
He is handsome, friendly, and likes to tease a bit when he plays.
To adopt this lovable guy, fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org and call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
