From a press release:

Due to “an unforeseen scheduling conflict,” the Paula Abdul show scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center has been rescheduled for Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets purchased for the original date will be valid on the new date.

Today’s announcement did not say if this postponement had anything to do with an incident in Biloxi, Mississippi on Saturday where Abdul fell off stage and into the crowd at Hard Rock Live while singing her 1991 single “The Promise of a New Day.” She immediately got right up and finished the performance, however.

These concerts are part of the Straight Up Paula! Tour, her first solo outing in over 25 years. The Grammy Award-winning pop legend and dance superstar is performing her most memorable hit songs, including “Straight Up,” “Forever Your Girl,” “Opposites Attract,” “Rush Rush,” and “Cold Hearted.”

Tickets for the Bethlehem show, which are $44, $55, and $69.50, can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

In her three-decade career, Paula Abdul has sold over 60 million records, had six No. 1 songs, earned seven MTV Awards, one Grammy Award, two Emmy Awards, and three American Music Awards.

In 2017, she toured the United States on the sold-out Total Package Tour with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, performing in over 45 cities, including stops at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the Barclays Center in New York, the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and the PPL Center in Allentown. The year before, she joined an all-star pop music lineup at the annual Mixtape Festival in Hershey.

“I’m thrilled to let everyone know that I will be hitting the road with my very own tour this fall! I was so overwhelmed by all the love and support that you showered me with during last summer’s Total Package Tour that I couldn’t wait to share this exciting news with you!” Abdul said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing all of you when I hit the stage starting October 3rd, 2018! I love you all from the bottom of my heart!”

As one of the most celebrated pop icons in the world, Abdul is best recognized as an award-winning choreographer, dancer, singer, actress, and television personality. Beginning her career as a cheerleader and choreographer for the Los Angeles Lakers, her talents were soon recognized and utilized by artists such as Janet Jacket and George Michael, among many others.

Upon launching her solo career in 1989, Abdul exploded onto the charts with her music, scoring a string of hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s and becoming an American pop pioneer and multi-platinum recording artist with legendary music videos to the MTV generation. Her six No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 tie her with Diana Ross for seventh among the female solo performers who have topped the chart. She won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video for “Opposites Attract” and twice won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Choreography.

She is also recognized for her nine-season run as an original judge on the global sensation television series “American Idol,” which was followed by her presence on “The X-Factor” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” Additionally, she starred on the CBS show “Live to Dance” in 2011 and served as a guest judge on the all-stars edition of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2012.

When not lending her talents to the stage and screen, Abdul is an active spokesperson and advocate for the American Humane Association, Turnaround Arts, Avon Foundation, GLAAD, Lupus LA, Red Cross, and more.
