The “angry robot noises” of Subtronics echoed through the valley when the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour rolled into the Circle Drive-In Theatre in Dickson City on Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19. HE$H, Level Up, and Guppi joined the young Philadelphia dubstep DJ/producer on this cross-country trek that ran from April through the end of June.

“So stoked and honored to be headlining the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour this year!” Subtronics said when the tour was announced in March.

“Being blessed with the opportunity to share all my music, new and old, with my fans in partnership with them is something I feel enormous gratitude towards.”

Seen locally at Camp Bisco at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Subtronics returned to Montage’s parking lot last year during the pandemic to kick off the drive-in “Pavement Rave” series of live DJs and electronic artists with two sold-out shows. This year, promoters DamnMillennial Promotions and Scranton music venue Stage West planned to bring the Outbreak Tour there before changing venues to the Circle Drive-In, allowing fans to get much closer to the brightly lit stage and thumping bass now that government restrictions have been lifted.

The open space and summer weather was perfect for these high-energy shows, and HE$H and Level Up kept the wild vibes going Friday night with a more intimate crowd at the official afterparty at Stage West.
