From a press release:

This holiday season, Lackawanna County and the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce are asking foodies and everyday restaurant patrons to “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” at their favorite public places.

From Nov. 25 through Jan. 1, they will encourage residents to take photos of their favorite food or drink at a local business and post them to the Lackawanna County and Scranton Chamber social media pages for a chance to win prizes like gift cards.

Restaurants and other establishments must fill out the registration form to be part of this promotional holiday activity. They will then be contacted with the contest’s details. There is no cost for businesses to participate, and the deadline to submit information is Friday, Oct. 15 at midnight.

The “Lackawanna Eat, Drink, and Be Merry Restaurant Trail” will be marketed on the chamber and Lackawanna Markets websites in conjunction with other partners throughout the holidays.

During that time, the county’s third annual Lackawanna Winter Market will kick off the last First Friday Scranton art walk of the year on Dec. 3 and run through Sunday, Dec. 5. A new village on Courthouse Square is set to be filled with all kinds of unique vendors alongside live music, food, and family events that will be announced shortly.
