Bethlehem country artist Lilly Moss debuts new album with Wilkes-Barre release show on Nov. 22

From a press release:
“Keep singing, keep performing, and keep writing so one day that’s the only thing I need to build a life on.”
That’s what Lilly Moss will tell you is her dream for the future.
Though she is currently a student at Lafayette College in Easton, her future – just as she’s dreamt it – already seems to be shaping up quite nicely. On Nov. 15, the rising country artist with a presence as powerful as her story released her debut album, “Meet Me on Broadway,” on all major streaming platforms.
“Writing this album stemmed from my desire to document dreams, feelings, and scenarios all within the melody of a song,” Moss shared.
“The album has some happy songs and some love stories. But there are also some songs that are deep, gritty, and emotional. No matter what you’re going through or what situation you’re in, you’ll be able to find something you can relate to.”
Produced by Grammy-nominated Dan Malsch of Soundmine Recording Studio in East Stroudsburg – and a dream team of musicians including Johnny Nova, AJ Larsen, and Angelique Buckley – “Meet Me on Broadway” features a mix of upbeat and emotional tracks, including the previously released title track as well as the singles “Trigger,” which All Country News called “an explosive anthem of empowerment,” and “Heartbreak Summer,” which was featured on Spotify’s “All New Country” playlist, quickly becoming known for her rich tone and distinctive lower register.
Born and raised in Bethlehem, Moss’ love for music began in early childhood. Music, in fact, played a vital role in saving her life. At just 3 years old, she was diagnosed with leukemia, spending much of her time in a hospital room where music became her escape.
Never letting her cancer diagnosis stop her from doing the things she loved, she began to follow her passion for music in the sixth grade when she signed up for vocal lessons. By eighth grade, she was playing the piano, and by 16, she was writing her own music, drawing inspiration from artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Billie Eilish, and Adele. At 17, she found the confidence to perform live for the very first time, going on to sing at local farmers’ markets, wineries, and festivals.
In 2023, she released her first batch of original songs, also recorded with Malsch. Her refreshing and honest voice, described as a cross between Adele and Stevie Nicks, garnered over a quarter million plays and placed her on a variety of editorial and algorithmic playlists across digital streaming platforms. Her strength and perseverance, along with an abundance of creativity, continues to drive her musical career.
Though 2023 was a fruitful year for Moss, 2024 has seen many of her dreams come true. Earlier this year, Moss performed for a sold-out crowd at the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley’s Hearts of Gold Gala, where her mosaic artwork brought in a winning bid of $20,000 for the foundation. She also performed at Bethlehem’s Musikfest, the largest non-gated free music festival in the country; PA Bacon Fest and the Live at the Falls concert series in Easton; and the Sherman Showcase in Stroudsburg as a special guest of Hayes Warner.
Additionally, she was a semi-finalist in the 2024 Unsigned Only Music Competition and won the prestigious Linny Award for Emerging Artist of the Year from the ArtsQuest Foundation.
One of her last shows of the year will be an album release party with her band, The Steel Ponies, and special guest Luke Stone at The Mines (105 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre) on Friday, Nov. 22. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the 18+ show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
Now that “Meet Me on Broadway” is out there, Moss can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
“I truly believe this is just the beginning,” she said.
“Making this album was such an amazing learning experience. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it, but I’m also anxious to take everything I’ve learned and apply it to my next project.”
