From a press release:

Today, Mohegan Pennsylvania announced the return of the largest and most popular free outdoor concert series in Northeastern Pennsylvania – Party on the Patio.

Its 16th year is set to begin on Thursday, May 1 and provide music fans with 20 weeks of live entertainment by tribute bands playing a variety of classic rock and country styles while they indulge in food served by one of Pennsylvania’s most popular food trucks and drinks such as Party on the Patio Lager with Lime by Runaway Train Brewery.

The 4.8 percent ABV beer is brewed with a base malt only purchased from Pennsylvania farmers. Small portions of specialty malts are added to lighten the body and create a smooth drinking experience. After fermentation, a touch of lime is added while in the conditioning tanks to make a refreshingly satisfying brew.

“This craft beer was the result of hours of collaboration, planning, and taste testing,” said Vince Benedetto, a managing partner of Runaway Train, which is located in downtown Honesdale along the famed D&H Railroad tracks. All beers are brewed on site and pay homage to Honesdale’s legacy as “the birthplace of the American railroad.”

In this year’s musical lineup, the outdoor concert venue at Mohegan Pennsylvania (1280 Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre) will feature local fan favorites Philadelphia Freedom (a tribute to Elton John), Idol Kings (a tribute to Reo Speedwagon and Journey), and Jay Bon Jovi (a tribute to Bon Jovi); returning acts such as Stayin’ Alive (a tribute to the Bee Gees), Back in Black (a tribute to AC/DC), and Redneck Castaway Band (a tribute to Kenny Chesney); and a few new acts that will make their Party on the Patio premiere, including Crash My Party (a tribute to Luke Bryan), Fame (a tribute to David Bowie), and Stevie Mac (a tribute to Fleetwood Mac). The Thursday night shows conclude with Mötley Crüe tribute Motley 2 on Sept. 11.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the bands get the party started at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover charge for Party on the Patio.
