Sevendust headlines hard rock show at Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on March 16

From a press release:
Currently on the road supporting Disturbed and Three Days Grace, hard rock/metal titans Sevendust will bring their own headlining tour, In Dust We Trust, to the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on Sunday, March 16.
Horizon Theory, Black Dawn, and Lehighton hard rock band Another Day Dawns will open the all-ages concert. Doors at the Sherman Theater (524 Main St., Stroudsburg) open at 6 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m.
General admission tickets, which are $27.50 in advance or $33 the day of the show, are on sale now at the Sherman box office at 570-420-2808 and online via shermantheater.com and Etix.
With a legacy spanning three decades, Sevendust is renowned for their relentless energy, genre-defying sound, and deep connection with their devoted fan base, though they never follow a linear path. Instead, they continue to bulldoze a lane of their own with a proven one-two punch of rumbling grooves, unpredictable riffing, and stirringly soulful vocals unlike anything else in hard rock. As a result, their music connects straight to the heart, as evidenced by their full-contact live shows and diehard “family” of fans.
It’s why they’ve been around since 1994, tallied global sales of seven million, logged three gold-selling albums, delivered three Top 15 debuts on the Billboard 200, and garnered a Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Metal Performance. 2021 saw them deliver one of the most-acclaimed albums of their career with “Blood & Stone,” which Metal Hammer christened “Sevendust’s best work in years.” However, the Atlanta, Georgia-based quintet – Lajon Witherspoon (lead vocals), Clint Lowery (lead guitar, backing vocals), John Connolly (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums) – defied expectations yet again on their 14th full-length and debut for Napalm Records, “Truth Killer,” produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Trivium, Slash).
The album opens with perhaps the biggest departure, the slow-burning “I Might Let the Devil Win.” Piano pierces glitchy beat-craft as Witherspoon’s delivery borders on magnetic and manic with a confession. If Trent Reznor produced The Weeknd, it might sound something like this. On the other end of the spectrum, the single and finale “Fence” goes right for the jugular with pummeling drums, a chugging riff, and guttural barks. It crashes right into a hammering hook before spiraling into an incendiary solo. The title track, “Truth Killer,” fuses searing orchestration with a rush of distortion and powerhouse refrain. On “Everything,” a jarring guitar melody underlines an affirmation on the catastrophically catchy chorus. As if baptized in frustration, “Holy Water” snakes through an off-kilter bounce over incisive synths towards a massive chant. “Superficial Drug” intoxicates with a sinewy bass line and head-nodding groove as one of the record’s most melodic moments takes hold.
Critics have hailed the album as “everything a Sevendust fan could want” (Outburn) and “their best work in years” (Metal Hammer). Ultimately, it reaffirms there’s only one Sevendust – and they’re here forever.
After touring with Breaking Benjamin and Bush in the spring of 2023, Another Day Dawns continued their ascent as one of the most exciting portents of heavy rock later that year with the release of their Century Media Records debut, “Finding Peace Through All the Noise,” on Oct. 6. The album’s diverse tracklist delivers an impressive listening experience that showcases the group’s growth and musical prowess since they began making a racket as high school-aged friends in 2010. Fans old and new are taken on an exciting journey through 11 tracks, including the powerful opener “Intro,” the emotionally charged “Hesitate,” the anthemic” Brand New,” and the first single “Bitter,” which smashes together pummeling riffiness and an unforgettable sense of melody that defines the band as a force to be reckoned with.
After making a name for themselves locally in the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania with countless electric and acoustic shows, ADD opened for the likes of Sevendust, Starset, and Atreyu and played major rock festivals, including Aftershock, Blue Ridge, and Louder Than Life. The independent release of their 2018 EP “A Different Life” landed them a spot on Billboard’s rock charts, which solidified their foundation in the active rock market, while the singles “Taste of Heaven” and “Forget Me Not” from 2020’s “Stranger” EP release were mainstays on the Mediabase Active Rock chart as well as DSP playlists, honing themselves into a powerhouse in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region that is poised break out nationally.
