Reunited punk band letlive. takes farewell tour to Ritz Theater in Scranton on Oct. 7

From a press release:
Renowned for their genre-defying sound and electrifying live performances, letlive. is set to triumphantly return to stages one more time, reuniting with fans and reigniting the fire that defined a generation of alternative music. The trailblazing progressive soul punk band from Los Angeles will bring their chaotic yet cathartic stage presence to Europe, Australia, and the United States.
The Sincerely Yours Tour will kick off in June, featuring headlining shows and appearances at major festivals – including Vans Warped Tour, When We Were Young, Louder Than Life, Jera Open Air, and 2000trees – before heading to Australia in September.
It was announced today that the fall leg of the tour with Boston post-hardcore band Vanna will stop at The Ritz Theater (222 Wyoming Ave., Scranton) on Tuesday, Oct. 7 with opening performances by Scranton punk trio Pucker Up! and Pittston alternative rock band Retrovai.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the all-ages show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets, which are $35, are on sale now via Eventbrite.
Letlive.’s 2025 lineup features founding members Jason Aalon Butler (vocals), Jeff Sahyoun (guitar), and Jean Nascimento (guitar), joined by Sage Webber (Point North) on drums and Skyler Acord (Issues) on bass. Fans can expect a setlist that spans their celebrated discography.
“I think this is all happening out of necessity. The boys and I have expressed our need to play letlive. music again based on where we are in our lives individually and how the collective spiritual theme between us has aligned,” Butler explained. “Also, if you’ll allow me to be presumptuous – I believe the world could use the ‘ll.ove.’ Besides, ‘soul punx’ never dies.”
“We came from a time of building an audience in grassroots venues. I am grateful to be able to enter a new chapter of letlive., where our life experiences in the past few years can offer a new and exciting experience for our fans,” Nascimento said.
“Letlive. represents a part of my life that refuses to be silenced,” Sahyoun added. “Coming back to it feels like fulfilling a calling – one that reminds me of why I ever started all of this in the first place.”
Formed in 2002, letlive. quickly established themselves as one of the most energetic and emotionally charged acts in the alternative music scene. Fronted by the intense and impassioned Butler, the band blended elements of hardcore, punk, R&B, and soul to create a unique sonic identity that resonated with fans worldwide and took heavy music to new heights with dynamic songwriting, blistering rhythms, hook-loaded metal riffs, and Butler’s remarkable ability to balance fiery screams and melodic vocals.
Their breakout album, “Fake History” (2010), gained critical acclaim for its raw emotion and innovative sound, earning them a dedicated following. This success led to them signing with Epitaph Records, where they released two more groundbreaking albums: “The Blackest Beautiful” (2013) and “If I’m the Devil…” (2016). Both records showcased the band’s evolution, tackling social justice, personal struggle, and self-discovery themes with unrelenting creativity.
Known for their legendary live performances, letlive. became a force of nature on stage. Their unfiltered vitality and Butler’s explosive stage presence connected deeply with audiences, making every performance unforgettable.
The group announced their breakup shortly after releasing “If I’m the Devil” and went on hiatus. Now, letlive. is ready to return, reignited by founding members Nascimento and Sahyoun and embarking on their first shows since 2016.
Letlive.’s return is more than a farewell – it’s a rebirth. This reunion celebrates their groundbreaking past and continues their mission to challenge, inspire, and connect with fans through their unapologetically honest music.
