Carbondale brewing company 3 Guys and a Beer’d will close by the end of 2015
Yesterday, Carbondale brewing company 3 Guys and a Beer’d surprised their legion of local fans with a disheartening, but thankful Facebook post that announced that they will be ceasing operations by the end of the year.
The post, coming less than three months after they opened their own taproom (49 N. Church St., Carbondale) on Sept. 25, follows in its entirety:
Hi everyone, I come to you today with troubling news, after 4 hard fought years as a business we have decided that we must close our doors at the end of this year. This is not a decision that came easily to us as we love what we do and have an absolute passion for brewing, it just isn’t financially feasible for us to continue.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all of you that have supported us, stood by us, tasted our beer, fixed our coolers, helped us at festivals, and volunteered your afternoons and evenings to help us bottle. We’ve had a blast at all of the fun events over the last 4 years, dressing is pirates, leprechauns, cast of the Goonies, aliens, etc the list goes on! It was awesome meeting everyone at Beer festivals, Events, small tastings, out in the bars, and our taproom. Thank you to all of you that continue to support local beer and local businesses keep drinking local! Thank you to all the local bars, restaurants, distributors, and 6pk shops that took us in from day 1 and never looked back!
There are many people we need to personally thank but there are too many to tag in this post, chances are if you’re reading this you’re on that list! We’ve met a lot of people on this journey and a lot of those people I now consider dear friends, for all of you I am truly grateful. Thank you to all of our families, you were always our biggest supporters and that means the world to us. Thank you to our ladies at the taproom you guys are the best!! This is by far the hardest thing I’ve had to type, and it brings tears to my eyes to have to do it..we love you all and thanks for Getting Your Beer’ds On!

After working with them directly and drinking their fine brews many times over the years, NEPA Scene is very sad to see this local business go, and we wish them the best in all their future endeavors.
