From a press release:

The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple has announced its inaugural Buy Local: Spring Fling, which will be held on Sunday, April 3 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The event is modeled after the venue’s highly popular Holiday Marketplace, which takes place each year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Buy Local: Spring Fling will feature approximately 75 vendors and span three floors of the Scranton Cultural Center (420 N. Washington Ave., Scranton). A free reusable shopping bag will be given to the first 1,000 patrons courtesy of First National Community Bank.

The marketplace will showcase the area’s finest local businesses, artisans, and wineries and will feature a home and garden section. Families will have a sneak peek into the SCC’s 2016 Summer Camp Program in the Kid Zone on the lower level, and a basket raffle will be available as well.

Admission for the event is a $1; proceeds will benefit the ongoing operations, restoration, and programming at the Scranton Cultural Center. Food and drink will be available for purchase in the SCC Café, which will be located on the second floor in the Ladies Parlor. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit sccmt.org.

A very limited number of vendor spaces remain available. It is a juried process, so applying does not guarantee acceptance. In addition, capacity has been reached for the following categories: jewelry, soaps, and food/drink. Vendors are subject to a fee of $100. Interested parties should visit sccmt.org to download an application and review a complete list of vendor guidelines and policies. Any questions can be sent to buylocal@sccmt.org.

The inaugural Buy Local: Spring Fling is sponsored in part by First National Community Bank. The SCC’s 2015-16 Season is sponsored by Toyota of Scranton; LT Verrastro, Inc.; UGI; and id Group.
