From a press release:

The Lavelle Strategy Group is holding its third social fundraiser to benefit Diva Productions on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., bringing artists and their supporters together for a night of community engagement.

Held at POSH at The Scranton Club (404 N. Washington Ave., Scranton), the purpose of “Drinks, Drama and Dickens” is to ring in the spirit of Christmas with moments from Diva’s upcoming production “A Christmas Carol” while socializing with Ebenezer Scrooge and his nephew, Fred. For only $15, mix and mingle with artists, actors, and characters while enjoying beer, wine, POSH chips, flatbreads, and chefs’ appetizers.

One-third of all proceeds will help Diva Productions continue to cultivate the arts in all its forms, for all the community, at The Olde Brick Theater in Scranton. “A Christmas Carol” runs Dec. 5-14.

Diva Productions has been entertaining the people of the Scranton area since 2007, and this
fundraiser will continue that trend. Efforts to enrich the public include many options for individuals to engage in the arts, including Community Theater, which holds open auditions for all productions. Drawma Club drawing sessions are held every Tuesday Night from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Synaesthesia Social features live adventurous music from notable and unique musicians for the community to walk in,
listen, watch, and draw every Sunday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Scene Study is held Wednesday nights for
adults only, with new classes forming in January 2015.
