Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features one dog, one cat, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Maxine

This sweet 7-year-old Lab was surrendered and, fortunately, was immediately taken into a foster home. Maxine is underweight, but she seems healthy otherwise. She is extremely sweet and loves absolutely everyone! She does have a lot of energy; you would never guess she is 7. Per foster, she is good with other dogs, cats, adults, and kids. She does need some leash work, but that can be fixed easily.

She will be at the shelter on Sunday, Dec. 21; otherwise, you will have to call to make an appointment with her foster mom if you would like to meet her. Maxine really is a sweetheart, and would love a furever home by the holidays! Please call 570-333-5265 for more info. Adoption fee is $150.

Maggie and Morgan

Maggie and Morgan are two 9-week-old tuxedo sisters. We would love to find them a home together, but if we have to separate them, we will. Both are extremely sweet and playful. They are very intelligent, affectionate, and goofy! Maggie and Morgan would do fine in a home with other cats and older children (10+). Both have never been around dogs, so they may be scared to meet one.

If you are interested in this adorable duo, please call 570-333-5265 or PM us on Facebook.
