Dan Yeager, who played Leatherface in ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D,’ returns to Scranton for Halloween events on Oct. 30-31

After stopping in Northeastern Pennsylvania last year for the Infect Scranton horror convention, actor and writer Dan Yeager, who played the infamous killer Leatherface in 2013’s “Texas Chainsaw 3D,” will return to the Electric City on Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 for various Halloween-themed events.

Trick or Tort: The Lawyer’s Halloween
Location: Steamtown National Historic Site (350 Cliff St., Scranton)
Time: 9 a.m.
Cost: Free
The event will focus on product liability, weird and creepy lawsuits for the season, and other legal topics. In addition, learn about chainsaw safety with Dan Yeager. Those appearing for this lecture only do not have to pay for park admission. The public is welcome.
Sidel’s Annual Halloween Party
Location: Sidel’s Restaurant (1202 N. Main Ave., Scranton)
Time: 9 p.m.
Cost: $5
Great food, atmosphere, and company with Dan Yeager. Music will be provided by EJ the DJ, and costumes are encouraged. What’s Halloween without a good costume party?
Halloween Express
Location: Steamtown National Historic Site (350 Cliff St., Scranton)
Time: 10:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.

The Trolley of Terror
Location: Steamtown National Historic Site (350 Cliff St., Scranton)
Time: 5 p.m. or 6 p.m.
Cost: $10
The haunted excursion will board at the Cedar Avenue platform at the Iron Furnaces. Parking is available at the University of Scranton’s Fitzpatrick Field, just above the Iron Furnaces. A small fee will be charged for discussions and autographs with Dan Yeager. Reservations are required. Contact the museum at 570-963-6590 for tickets and information.
Scranton After Dark Walking Tour
Location: Lackawanna Historical Society (232 Monroe Ave., Scranton)
Time: 7 p.m.
Cost: $10
The tragic and macabre aspects of Scranton’s history are brought to light in the annual Scranton After Dark paranormal walking tour. The Lackawanna Historical Society guides weave a candlelit path through downtown Scranton, imparting tales of tragic events, curious occurrences, and ghostly apparitions that have become part of the city’s lore.
