Summer Airwaves brings live music and skateboarding to Montage Waterpark in Scranton on July 29
Separate from and a little bit different than the popular Adult Swim Night series at Montage Mountain Waterpark in Scranton, a special event called Summer Airwaves on July 29 will be the only Saturday night after-hours event in the waterpark all summer long, featuring live music, skateboarding, and food and drink specials.
From 5 p.m.-11 p.m., Scranton experimental/alternative rock band Dreamers, Like Us, Nanticoke pop punk band Send Request, Wilkes-Barre reggae rock band Elephants Dancing, Bethlehem alternative rock band Cedar Green, and more acts will perform on two stages, a street-style mini-pipe skateboard jam will be held in the plaza, and access to all the water attractions – the wave pool, alpine slides, Tundra Tornado slide, Iceberg Alley luge, Polar Bear Pond, and the Cross-Country Canal lazy river – is included in the $20 admission price.
Hosted by Hoodie Weather Productions, who organize the annual College SnowJam at Montage during the winter, the event is 18+ and 21+ to drink. For more information, see the Facebook event page.
Upcoming Adult Swim nights at Montage Mountain Waterpark this season include a “Country Edition” on Wednesday, Aug. 2 with The Tommy Guns Band and an “Electronic Edition” with DJ Woogie, Kenton, and Josh Beatz on Wednesday, Aug. 16. For more on those, visit montagemountainresorts.com.
