From a press release:

Wizards, witches, sorcerers, and the half-blood prince will need to make a special trip to Diagon Alley for a fresh pair of dress robes because Wizardfest is flying into West Scranton.

The touring Harry Potter-themed dance party will transform the new music venue Stage West (301 N. Main Ave., Scranton) into Hogwarts for a magical night with decorations, themed drinks like firewhisky, potent potions, and buttery brews on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.

Wizardfest is 18+ and 21+ to drink the butterbeer… and everything else on tap. The evening will include a live DJ and dance party, wizard-themed music, trivia, drink specials, cosplay, games, and more. The best dressed will also have a chance to enter the costume contest for cash and prizes.

Stage West posted that “Errol the owl is delivering cheaper pre-sale tickets and special ticket options” online to join the festivities. Tickets, which are $15 for advanced general admission and $25 for advanced general admission with a wand included, are on sale now and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Wizardfest will hold special Triwizard Tournaments throughout the night, with rewards like free drinks and wizard swag, while an epic costume contest (groups encouraged) will award the best dressed with cash and goodie bags.

Butterbeer will go perfectly with Quidditch pong, where Harry Potter fans can win drinks and miscellaneous prizes.

Grab your cloaks, brooms, and wands, as this is sure to be the wizarding event of the year. “Strictly no admittance of any owls, cats, or toads,” organizers noted.

Created by Pop Up Party Tours, Wizardfest is not an official event of, associated, or affiliated with Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, or Warner Bros. These events have been held in various venues across the country; this will be its first stop in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
