The 16-date A Pentatonix Christmas Tour, presented by SiriusXM, celebrates the release of a new holiday album, “The Best of Pentatonix Christmas,” on Oct. 25. This best-of album will feature four new songs in addition to the quintet’s biggest and bestselling songs and collaborations from their past four holiday albums.

Pentatonix has sold nearly 10 million albums in worldwide consumption and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold-out shows across the globe. Their YouTube channel boasts more than 15.5 million subscribers, yielding over 3.4 billion video views. Their 2015 self-titled album is certified gold after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Additionally, nine of their albums reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 (with two albums reaching No. 1) and received multiple RIAA certifications for multi-platinum, platinum, and gold-selling albums and singles. Their tracks “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Hallelujah” were certified platinum, while the Pentatonix original “Can’t Sleep Love” was certified gold. The group has had two holiday specials on NBC, released their tour documentary “On My Way Home” in 2015, and appeared in the feature film “Pitch Perfect 2.”

In October of 2017, Pentatonix released a deluxe version of their certified platinum 2016 holiday album “A Pentatonix Christmas Deluxe” and completed a sold-out Christmas tour that December. The following year, in April of 2018, Pentatonix released the first collection in the group’s PTX Presents series, “PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. I,” which features 11 PTX-curated modern pop performances, and wrapped their 39-city North American tour that September. One of those stops was at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton on Aug. 25.

Pentatonix released “Christmas Is Here!” – their fourth holiday record – on Oct. 26, 2018 via RCA Records. The album features new Pentatonix arrangements of modern and classic seasonal favorites, along with special appearances by vocal powerhouse Kelly Clarkson and country superstar Maren Morris.

To accompany the album, which includes their cover and arrangement of Danny Elfman’s “Making Christmas” from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Pentatonix – Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee – hit the road for a 17-date Christmas Is Here! Tour, kicking off in Grand Prairie, Texas and continuing in Washington, D.C.; Boston; and Philadelphia before wrapping with four shows at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.

They are currently on a break from Pentatonix: The World Tour, which began with a North American leg on May 11, 2019 in Oakland, California and continues in Latin America, Asia, and Oceania through Feb. 22, 2020, closing in Sydney, Australia.
