From a press release:

Today, multi-platinum hard rock bands Godsmack and Staind announced a 25-city summer co-headlining tour with two stops in Pennsylvania.

The tour comes to The Pavilion at Montage Mountain (1000 Montage Mountain Rd., Scranton) on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m., presented by Hazleton active rock radio station 97.9X.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. via livenation.com. A pre-sale begins Thursday, March 30 using the code OPENER.

“Really looking forward to running on tour this summer with our old pals in Staind,” Godsmack commented.

“For sure every night will be packed with great music and a lot of fun memories! Don’t miss it!”

With over 20 years of chart-topping success, Godsmack has cemented themselves as 21st-century hard rock titans. To date, the Lawrence, Massachusetts natives have accomplished a staggering 11 No. 1 singles on mainstream rock radio and achieved 20 Top 10 hits on the format, the most of any act since February of 1999.

Additionally, they’ve enjoyed four Grammy nominations and were named the Billboard Music Awards’ Rock Artist of the Year in 2001. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, the band – Sully Erna (vocals, guitar), Tony Rombola (guitar), Robbie Merrill (bass), and Shannon Larkin (drums) – has released eight studio albums: “Godsmack” (1998), “Awake” (2000), “Faceless” (2003), “IV” (2006), “The Oracle” (2010), “1000hp” (2014), “When Legends Rise” (2018), and their latest, “Lighting Up the Sky” (2023).

“We’re really looking forward to being out with Sully and the guys this summer,” said Staind vocalist/guitarist Aaron Lewis.

“The first time we shared the stage with Godsmack was the 1998 Warped Tour, and here we are 25 years later still going strong,” added Staind guitarist Mike Mushok.

“We’re stoked to be sharing the stage with our old friends this summer.”

Staind is comprised of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. The group was formed in 1995 in their hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. Over the course of their career, they have released seven studio albums and eight Top 10 singles, selling over 15 million albums worldwide.

“Break the Cycle,” released in 2001 and certified five-times platinum by RIAA, featured the smash single “It’s Been Awhile,” one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history, spending 20 weeks at No. 1.

In 2019, after a five-year hiatus, Staind reunited for some unforgettable festival performances and a hometown reunion show at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut that was recorded for the live album “Live: It’s Been Awhile.” Their latest studio album, the self-titled “Staind,” was released in 2011. The band promises that new music is coming soon.
