From a press release:

The beloved cult classic indie film “Napoleon Dynamite” was released nearly 20 years ago. Since then, much has changed, but the characters, as enduring as they are endearing, have stayed in the hearts of comedy fans.

Appealing to the inner-teenager in everyone, the simple story, and more importantly the dialogue, makes “Napoleon Dynamite” one of the most quoted movies of the last two decades.

It was announced today that fan-favorite cast members Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Jon Gries (Uncle Rico), and Efren Ramirez (Pedro) will return to the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre for a full screening of “Napoleon Dynamite,” followed by a lively, freewheeling discussion, on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The live show – perfect for the whole family – is a wild and hysterical blend of Q&A, comedy improv, game show, and party, with plenty of audience participation that celebrates this quirky movie from 2004. Both the performances and the actors themselves continue to make audiences laugh – and laugh hard – over and over again.

In small-town Preston, Idaho, awkward teen Napoleon Dynamite has trouble fitting in. After his grandmother is injured in an accident, his life is made even worse when his strangely nostalgic uncle, Rico, shows up to keep an eye on him. With no safe haven at home or at school, Napoleon befriends the new kid, Pedro, a morose Hispanic boy who speaks little English. Together, the two launch a campaign to run for class president.

Doors at the Kirby Center (71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre) open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets, which are $25, $35, and $55, plus applicable fees, go on sale next Wednesday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 570-826-1100. A Kirby Member pre-sale is running now. A VIP meet and greet can be added on for $60.

Heder, Gries, and Ramirez visited the Kirby Center before for a screening in 2019 – see NEPA Scene’s photos here.
