From a press release:

Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza will celebrate its 25th year with a concert by Yächtley Crëw, a Los Angeles-based tribute band performing 1970s and ’80s soft rock music, on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Dubbed “Sailing Through Time,” the 25th anniversary community celebration will include a reunion of local favorites Eddie Day & TNT at 7 p.m.

Tickets, which start at $25, including fees, are available now via ticketmaster.com and in person through the venue’s NBT Bank Box Office (255 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre Twp.).

Yachtley Crew is a seven-piece SoCal band who burst onto the club scene in 2017, selling out countless local venues through the popularity of “yacht rock” and getting noticed by the legendary Jimmy Buffett, who signed them to his own Mailboat Records label.

The nautical-suited and captain’s-hat-clad group – otherwise known as “The Titans of Soft Rock” – has been growing exponentially over the years, touring throughout the United States and Europe and currently on the road with their 2024 Full Steam Ahead Tour that began last month. They will continue their third year of residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas following the recent release their first EP, “Seas the Day,” on Mailboat Records.

For those uninitiated, yacht rock encapsulates the revival of soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late ’70s to the early ’80s, which has become a nationwide phenomenon, inspiring fans to dress the part and sing along.

“Seas the Day” was produced and mixed by Grammy Award winner Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day) and features the band’s first original song “Sex on the Beach,” accompanied by a video with a guest appearance by the Access Hollywood and iHeart host Mario Lopez. The video was directed by Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills, Twiztid).

Other songs on “Seas the Day” include fan favorites such as Boz Scaggs’ “Lido Shuffle,” Ace’s “How Long,” Robbie Dupree’s “Steal Away,” the Bee Gees’ “How Deep Is Your Love,” and all-time yacht rock pioneer Christopher Cross’ “Ride Like the Wind.” Other songs in their set include Toto’s “Africa,” Looking Glass’ “Brandy,” and Rupert Holmes’ “Escape (The Piña Colada Song).”

Yachtley Crew – comprised of lead vocalist Phillip Daniel (Philly Ocean), drummer Rob Jones (Sailor Hawkins), bassist Chaz Ruiz (Baba Buoy), guitarist Thomas Gardner Jr. (Tommy Buoy), backing vocalist Curt Clendenin (Stoney Shores), saxophone/flutist Paul Pate (Pauly Shores), and keyboardist Matt Grossman (Matthew McDonald) – is managed by longtime industry icon Andy Gould (Rob Zombie, Pantera, Lionel Richie, Guns N ’Roses) and represented by Jim Lenz at TKO.

The group has appeared on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” helped ring in the New Year on KLAS and KTLA’s “Las Vegas Countdown to 2023” (the exclusive, Emmy-winning special syndicated program that has reached more than 16.5 million U.S. TV households), performed on countless morning television and radio shows throughout the country, featured on Fox News nationally, and performed on SiriusXM’s Yacht Rock Radio “Yacht Rock 311” show as the first-ever yacht rock band to play live at the station. They have also performed at a cadre of charity and special events throughout the years, including the Mario Lopez Golf Classic Tournament in support of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Inducted into the inaugural class of the Luzerne County Music Hall of Fame last year, Eddie Day Pashinski has dedicated much of his life to music. The popular local musician, entertainment manager, and promoter spent 35 years as a music instructor at the Greater Nanticoke Area School District, where he shared his love and knowledge of music with several generations of students. He was the band leader of the highly successful regional acts Eddie Day & TNT and Eddie Day & The Starfires that entertained thousands of people at hundreds of shows throughout the decades.

In 2006, Pashinski was first elected to represent the 121st Legislative District, which consists of the City of Wilkes-Barre, the Township of Wilkes-Barre, Fairview Township, Ashley Borough, Hanover Township, and Laurel Run Borough in Luzerne County.

He serves as the Democratic chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, a position he has held since 2017. He also currently serves as board member of the Center for Rural Pennsylvania and the PA Hardwoods Development Council, as well as chair of both the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Legislative Sportsmen’s caucuses. He previously served on the Insurance, State Government, Human Services, Aging, Gaming, and Commerce committees.
