Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Ozzie

Ozzie is an Australian cattle dog, not quite a year old. He’s housebroken, neutered, and a little shy, but he warms to people fast.

Ozzie was surrendered because he did not adjust to apartment living and, like many herding dogs, he is smart and loves to play.

For more information on Ozzie, please stop by Blue Chip Farm or visit us at bcfanimalrefuge.org.

Emma

Emma is a 2-year-old calico who has very beautiful markings.

Emma loves to climb on the cat towers and curl up for a nap. Friendly with people and other cats, we are not sure about her around dogs.

An easygoing and sweet cat, you can find out more about Emma by stopping in at Blue Chip Farm or at bcfanimalrefuge.org.
