From a press release:

In a time where many corporate chains are closing their doors, one locally owned restaurant is expanding.

After nearly five years at its successful Johnson City, New York location, Food & Fire is expanding to Pennsylvania with a new restaurant a little over an hour away at the Shoppes at Montage in Moosic. The restaurant and taphouse is set to open Monday, July 9.

Food & Fire is owned by three Binghamton-area friends and entrepreneurs, Jeffery Tiderencel, Daniel Polhamus, and Jose Moreira.

“We’re excited to bring Food & Fire’s ‘BBQ and Beer’ experience to the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and we’re really looking forward to becoming an active part of their vibrant community,” said the restaurant’s new general manager, Chris Waldron.

Food & Fire offers a family-friendly, upbeat atmosphere, excelling in authentic barbecue cooked “low and slow” in custom-built smokers and prepared with homemade rubs and sauces. They also offer an ever-changing lineup of craft beers on tap, with 40 available in Johnson City and 48 coming to Moosic.

For the grand opening of the new location (7041 Shoppes Blvd., Moosic), Food & Fire will hold multiple contests on its Facebook page, offering patrons a chance to pour the first beer or get a VIP “first taste” of the new menu.

The restaurant is currently hiring bartenders, hosts/hostesses, servers, dish washers/food prep, and cooks. View available positions and apply here.
