Singer/songwriter Justin Townes Earle joins Kirby Center’s ‘Chandelier Lobby’ series
From a press release:
It was just announced that singer/songwriter Justin Townes Earle will visit the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the “Live from the Chandelier Lobby” concert series.
Justin Townes Earle, son of alternative country rocker Steve Earle and godson of the late Townes Van Zandt, is out in support of two new records – “Single Mothers,” released this past September, and “Absent Fathers,” which is set for release this January. These two releases mark Earle’s first on the Vagrant Records label, after he released his first five albums on Bloodshot Records.
Earle first started gaining steam with 2010’s “Harlem River Blues,” which peaked at No. 18 on the U.S. rock charts and No. 3 on folk charts. He found similar success with 2012’s “Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now,” and “Single Mothers” is following suit.
Tickets, which are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show, plus fees, go on sale this Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Kirby Center Box Office, by phone at 570-826-1100, and online at kirbycenter.org.
