Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features one dog, one cat, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Belle

My name is Belle! Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a comical, entertaining, and loyal little dog. I am absolutely brimming with personality – maybe a little quirky and eccentric at times!

I adore warmth, oh yes! I will seek out the tiniest sunspot in which to bask, or I will crawl under a towel or blanket, so please look before you sit!

I am currently living in a foster home and Miss Janice absolutely loves me, so if you want to adopt me, please call the shelter to arrange a meeting! Oh, yeah, I’m 9 years old, but don’t worry; the average lifespan of a Chihuahua is 15-20 years, so I’m not going anywhere soon!

Gypsy

Gypsy is a 1-year-old full of personality! She’s sweet and very vocal. She is nosey and likes to investigate things.

If interested in Gypsy, please call 570-333-5265.
