3rd annual Edwardsville Pierogi Festival celebrates homemade food and fun on June 10-11
From a press release:
The third annual Edwardsville Pierogi Festival, an event that kicks off the summer season with Northeastern Pennsylvania’s favorite Polish dish, will be held on Friday, June 10 from noon-10 p.m. and Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
The festival features many types of homemade food and craft vendors on Main Street and throughout the town, and there will be live entertainment and children’s activities on both days; Friday’s bands include the Cruise Control acoustic duo, John Stevens’ Doubleshot, and Strawberry Jam. On Saturday, a parade kicks off at 11 a.m., followed by a “Best of the Borough Cook-Off” contest at 1 p.m.
Plenty of free parking will be available in lots across the borough for this family-friendly festival.
In October of 2013, the Edwardsville Hometown Committee was formed to promote and revitalize the borough of Edwardsville by sponsoring fun events for citizens and to unite the community, founding the Pierogi Festival in 2014.
