Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Scoobie

Scoobie is a 4-year-old American bulldog/boxer mix with a whole lot of love to give!

He was abandoned in an apartment when his owners moved away. They left him all alone until the landlord discovered him, yet he still loves everyone he meets and always has a smile on his face. He is as sweet as can be and gets along with children and other dogs; we’re not sure about cats yet.

Scoobie enjoys cuddling, going for walks, playing ball, and being around people. This fun guy needs a special family to show him that he will never be alone again!

Darcy

Darcy is just 12 weeks old, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, and looking for a home to call her own!

This little beauty has semi-long hair and the sweetest personality.

If you would like to adopt Darcy, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
