SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Skylar (Jack Russell terrier mix) and Frankie (black cat)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Skylar is a 6-month-old Jack Russell terrier mix.
She was surrendered by her owner due to food aggression but has shown no signs of aggression toward any person or other animals. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats.
Skylar would do best with older children due to her nervous personality.
Come and meet this little cutie!
Frankie is a 1-year-old black short hair cat who loves people.
He is playful and always wants to know what’s going on and what he missed while he was playing. Frankie loves to be pet and snuggle up next to you.
To adopt this handsome guy, fill out an application at bcfanimalrefuge.org. Frankie is currently living in a foster home, so call 570-333-5265 to schedule a meet and greet.
