Jewel plays holiday shows with her family in Bethlehem on Dec. 7 and Hershey on Dec. 16
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and New York Times’ bestselling author and poet Jewel will take her Handmade Holiday Tour featuring special guests and family members Atz, Atz Lee, and Nikos Kilcher of “Alaska: The Last Frontier” fame to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. and the Hershey Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the Bethlehem show, which are $49.50, $59.50, and $69.50, plus applicable fees, go on sale this Friday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000. A pre-sale for members of the venue’s Music Insiders Club will take place on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. through 10 p.m.
Tickets for the Hershey show, which start at $35.50, plus fees, go on sale this Friday, Sept. 7 at noon and will be available at the Hershey Theatre box office (15 E. Caracas Ave., Hershey), online at hersheyentertainment.com and ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 717-534-3405 and 800-745-3000.
The fan-favorite Handmade Holiday Tour returns this holiday season for a one-of-a-kind show, performing holiday classics, holiday originals, and classic Jewel songs alongside Atz, Atz Lee, and Nikos Kilcher. The tour kicks off Nov. 25 in Springfield, Missouri and lasts through the end of the year.
“I am so honored to share some of the traditions I was raised with in Alaska on our family homestead,” Jewel says about the tour. “Building memories by sharing handmade moments. Creating unique gifts and sharing songs is a Kilcher family tradition we can’t wait to share with others on this tour.”
A true family affair, the tour marks the second annual Handmade Holiday Tour alongside her family members. Pre-show, the tour will feature a unique and interactive gifting experience offering guests the chance to make handmade, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
Jewel is a singer, songwriter, actress, author, mother, and advocate. She went from a girl who grew up in Alaska with no running water to a homeless teenager in San Diego to an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist who released one of the bestselling debuts of all time, 1995’s “Pieces of You.” Throughout her career, which has spanned over 20 years, she has earned multiple Grammy Award nominations, an American Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award, among many others, and to date has sold well in excess of 30 million albums worldwide.
She last performed at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in 2016 in support of her latest studio album, 2015’s “Picking Up the Pieces.” The first Handmade Holiday Tour concluded at the Hershey Theatre in 2017.
Atz Kilcher is a singer/songwriter and Jewel’s father. Along with her family, he stars in Discovery Channel’s hit show “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” which centers on the Kilcher family and their community outside Homer, Alaska. Begun by patriarch Yule Kilcher, who immigrated from Europe during WWII, and currently led by his sons, Otto and Atz Kilcher, the family has lived on their land for four generations. The show also features the homesteaders who live nearby and interact with the Kilchers.
