While the Peach Music Festival and Camp Bisco have wrapped up for the year, Montage Mountain Waterpark in Scranton isn’t done hosting live music for the season.

Today, the venue adjacent to The Pavilion at Montage Mountain announced Midsummer Shred, a live rock show on the stage inside the waterpark.

The new all-ages event on Friday, Aug. 9 features seven regional bands and headliner Soul Sign, an all-star heavy metal group from Los Angeles featuring members of Yngwie Malmsteen, Ted Nugent, Scorpions’ Uli Jon Roth, Dio Disciples, Don Dokken, Lynch Mob, The Rock Vault, Unida, and Dio Returns.

Doors at Montage Mountain Waterpark (1000 Montage Mountain Rd., Scranton) open at 2 p.m. The music – a mix of hard rock, metal, and punk rock – begins at 3 p.m. and runs through 11 p.m.

Tickets, which are $10, are on sale now at montagemountainresorts.com and include access to all the water attractions – the wave pool, alpine slides, Tundra Tornado slide, Iceberg Alley luge, Polar Bear Pond, and the Cross-Country Canal lazy river.

Midsummer Shred is presented by Tröegs Independent Brewing, who will be pouring Sunshine Pils, Perpetual IPA, Troegenator, Raspberry Tart Ale, Hop Knife Harvest IPA, and Fest Lager. The Hershey-based brewer served as the official craft beer of the Peach Music Festival and introduced a new beer, Fuzzy Nudge, there last week. Patrons must be 21+ to drink and show proper ID.
