It was announced today that celebrated comedian, actor, writer, and producer Pete Davidson returns to the F.M. Kirby Center for an evening of stand-up comedy on Thursday, Sept. 12.

He previously came to the downtown Wilkes-Barre theater in 2019 with his “Saturday Night Live” co-star John Mulaney for two back-to-back sold-out performances.

Doors at the Kirby Center (71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre) open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, which are $39.50, $49.50, $59.50, $69.50, and $79.50, plus applicable fees, go on sale this Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m. at the Kirby Center box office during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.), online at kirbycenter.org and ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 570-826-1100. A Kirby Member pre-sale begins on Wednesday, May 29 at 10 a.m.

In 2023, Davidson starred in “Bupkis,” a semi-autobiographical comedy series he also co-created, co-wrote, and executive produced for the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock. Playing himself, he starred alongside Edie Falco and Joe Pesci.

The 30-year-old New York City native was a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” from 2014 through 2022, where his singular “Weekend Update” features and original music videos garnered millions of views. He came back to Studio 8H to host the 49th season premiere of “SNL,” earning rave reviews.

Davidson shot his first one-hour stand-up special for Comedy Central in 2016 and was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” the same year. He released the stand-up special “Pete Davidson: Alive from New York” in 2020 and he was listed as one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People of 2022.” On Jan. 9, 2024, he released his new Netflix special “Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli” and is currently out performing brand new material on his Prehab Tour.

In 2020, he co-wrote, executive produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed film “The King of Staten Island,” which was directed by Judd Apatow. His additional film work includes “Dumb Money,” “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” “Trainwreck,” “Big Time Adolescence,” “Set It Up,” “Meet Cute,” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies.” Upcoming projects include “The Home,” “Wizards!,” and “I Slept with Joey Ramone.”

The F.M. Kirby Center is a historic Art Deco/Moderne-style performing arts center located in downtown Wilkes-Barre. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
